About Epiphany Montessori School

Welcome to our website, and thank you for your inquiry about Epiphany Montessori School (EMS). We invite you to come visit us and explore what an EMS education will mean for your family.

At Epiphany, our goal is to really know and understand each child personally. From the classroom to the playground, from enrichment classes to chapel, we strive to understand the hearts and minds of our students, in order that we might inspire them to do their best. Our entire faculty and staff seek continuously to recognize and develop each child’s strengths, talents, and interests.

Current students and alumni alike will tell you the unique relationships our faculty builds with our students are the pinnacle of the EMS experience. Forming lifelong friendships, bonding with special teachers, and being a buddy to a younger student are all ways your child will be known and cared for at Epiphany.

Meet the Teachers

Baldemar Huerta (Mr. B.)
Baldemar Huerta has been with Epiphany School since 2013 as our Pre-K 4 teacher. Prior to joining Epiphany, Mr. B. was a Pre-K 3 teacher at Saint Gertrude’s Catholic School for five years before accepting the position of training coordinator at the Marc Cisneros center for Young Children. Mr. B. was also the director at the First United Methodist Church Child Development Center. Mr. B has worked for over fourteen years in the education field.

Mr. B. stated that although he enjoyed his time as director, his passion is teaching. Mr. B. believes every child has unique talents and abilities and as a teacher it is his goal to help each child reach his or her true potential.

Lindy Rogers
Lindy Rogers began teaching at Epiphany in 2010 as a Pre-K 3 teacher and moved to Kindergarten in 2015. Prior to joining Epiphany, Lindy was lead teacher at the First Baptist Church Mother’s Day Out Program. Lindy has been in the education field since the year 2000.

Ms. Lindy has a unique outlook on teaching. Lindy stated, "This is why I teach. You laugh, you cry, and you work harder than you ever thought you could. Some days you’re trying to change the world and some days you’re just trying to make it through the day. Your wallet is empty, your heart is full, and your mind is packed with memories of kids who have changed your life."

Kathryn Michelle Smith
Kathryn Michelle Smith Joined our Epiphany staff in 2015 after discovering that her career in retail sales was not nearly as inspiring as her career as a teacher. Michelle began her teaching career at lead Pre-K 3 teacher at Saint Gertrude’s Catholic School. Her teaching career also includes being lead preschool teacher at NAS Kingsville.

Ms. Michelle is truly passionate about teaching and providing our leaders of tomorrow with an academically enriched Christian background. Michelle stated that one of the ironies of teaching is that so often you find that the students you are trying to inspire are the ones that end up inspiring you. "This is one of the many reasons I love teaching."
