How safe is the school?
When it comes to their children, we know that safety is the top concern of parents today. Our facilities are well cared for and a team of committed custodians is diligent in maintaining the physical plant. Supervision of students is a top priority from three year olds all the way through age five. Additionally, all of our faculty and staff have had "Safeguarding God’s Children" training. The Annual Giving Campaign funded important security and fencing updates, which has insured the safety of our students as they move around the campus and has prevented access to unwanted intruders. When you drop off your child at Epiphany, you can be at peace that they are safe and secure in a nurturing and loving educational environment.

Are there high quality and committed faculty and staff?
Let’s face it--faculty and staff are the most important resource in any school. And we have the most amazing educators in Kingsville. Our teachers are compassionate, well trained and committed to presenting a dynamic educational program. Our teachers receive ongoing professional development each year, which allows them to stay on the cutting edge of educational pedagogy.

What is the ratio of students to staff?
Large classrooms mean less individualized instruction and more opportunity for discipline issues. Epiphany is committed to maintaining low student staff ratios. All of our classes have a lower ratios than what is recommended by the standards committee of Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools and well below what is the standard for public schools.

Are there strong partnerships among the parents, teachers and students?
The partnership between a school and a family is one of the most important elements to consider when choosing a private school. At epiphany, we believe that this partnership is a critical component in the success of our students. Parents need to be comfortable talking and working with their children’s teachers. Our faculty and staff are approachable and open to parent concerns. As we focus on the whole child, we are able to work with our families to ensure that the students are receiving the highest quality education, not only academically, but also socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Is there opportunity for parental involvement?
Epiphany is committed to developing the relationship between school and parents and the best way to do that is getting involved. Our parent group is called EPTC (Epiphany Parent, Teacher Committee) and the primary mission of this group is coordinating volunteer activities. There is a high level of collaboration between parents and the school and there are numerous opportunities to be involved in the life of the school.

Does the school have a climate that supports achievement?
Our mission is to provide the highest standard of academic excellence in a Christian Environment, and Epiphany is committed to building a culture that supports that mission. Our campus hosts a diverse population and promotes a wide variety of opportunities for student success, not only academically but socially and emotionally as well. Our rigorous academic program has resulted in much student success after leaving our school. Epiphany is proud of our many alumni who have had academic success in middle school, high school and college.

Is there availability of technology and technological resources?
Epiphany is committed to providing cutting edge technology that is actively used by teachers and students. Our technology program incorporates the use of a learning lab, laptops, iPads and interactive smart boards. All of the teachers have their own laptops and/or iPads.

Are teaching materials high quality and up to date?
While teachers are the most important resources in a school, teaching materials must also be considered when choosing a private school. Epiphany has an excellent curriculum that is updated on a rotating basis. Faculty and staff are trained in every program and funds are provided to purchase supplemental materials needed to make every program a success.

How long has this school been in operation?
Epiphany is the oldest private school in town. Epiphany Montessori School (EMS) was established in 1950 with one kindergarten class with thirteen students. A first grade class was offered for the first time in 1960. Epiphany School became a complete elementary system in 1974 with classes from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

In 1995, Epiphany School began a collaborative relationship with the King Ranch Family Trust Early Education Center at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Through this program, Epiphany has created an Early Childhood Program that is second to none.

Over the course of over 65 years, Epiphany has grown in the number of children it serves, the number of faculty it employs. It has grown from a single kindergarten classroom to a fully accredited day school currently serving students from three years of age through the fifth grade. We have a strong sense of family and community and offer an unparalleled educational program within the Kingsville area.

In 2017 Epiphany Episcopal became Epiphany Montessori School. We still offer the finest education for children ages three through five under the educational guidance of the Montessori method.

How successful are the students after graduation?
Epiphany graduates have a proven record of success. Our graduates consistently earn such honors as Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Distinguished Honors Graduates. Our alumni are class officers, National Honor’s Society members, and they comprise a significant number of students in the top 10% of each graduating class. Our graduates become leaders both socially and academically.
